Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV which was located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. Then, she joined WCBD as an anchor in the morning and a crime reporter. Her reporting in Charleston regarding the leniency of police officers towards DUI cases led to an investigation by the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the cases. According to the Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell the Best Report of the year award for all South Carolina media. O'Dell has worked in Charleston as a reporter, was a co-anchor at the NBC Miami WTVJ-TV station before moving over to Access Hollywood where she is an anchor and reporter on weekends. The present role of O'Dell as host of Access Hollywood is complemented by the work she has done for NBC News Today, Dateline NBC, and NBC News. She co-hosted several of Pre-ShowArrivals programs for The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Also, she co-hosted Miss USA's pageant, as in addition to the Miss Universe Pageant.
