Mercedes Schlapp is not the White House's strategist communications adviser. The White House's senior advisor on strategic communications Mercedes Schlapp has to face a variety of challenges. Her job is made difficult by the fact that she is working alongside a president of the White House who is also his director of communications. There are also multiple legal issues that can break an administration's message strategy, and several Cabinet secretaries entangled with personal scandals. Schlapp has never strayed from her goals, and she was closely involved in conjunction with White House policy and political teams. Her focus so far has been on issues like school safety, opioids and infrastructure, and trade. Her interactions with journalists aren't at all in her current position. In March, she was mentioned to be a possible candidate who would replace Hope Hicks at the Communications Director post. There has been a lot of fighting. Schlapp's allies began fighting with Tony Sayegh on the news. Schlapp said that when she was informed that when the Washington Examiner ran a story that contained negative comments about Sayegh, she had a conversation with Sayegh.
