Julie Chen Moonves hosted the popular summer reality show Big Brother which returned to CBS for its 22nd Season on the 5th of August. Chen Moonves had been The Talk's first hosts, hosting and moderating the talk show between 2010 and 2018, when she was the host. Then it was when she started writing that her real passion emerged. In addition, she won an Emmy for hosting, and an award-winning entertainment talk show. Her background in news has helped her transition to The Talk, which examines current events and issues through the eyes of five female hosts.Chen Moonves served as co-host for CBS News' weekday morning show The Early Show from 2002 to 2010. Her previous roles included anchoring the CBS Morning News and The Early Show. After the attacks of 9/11, she was sent to Cairo and tracked down the lead hijacker's father for an intense and eye-opening exclusive interview. Chen Moonves interviewed celebrities such as Denzel Washington and Angelina Jolie. Also, she spoke to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani as well as Queen Rania. Chen Moonves reported on the Emmy award-winning CBS Sunday Morning program. She interviewed stars like Jamie Lee Curtis, Betty White, Jamie Foxx, Scarlett Johansson, Katie Holmes Matthew McConaughey Brooks, Robert DeNiro Jennifer Lopez, and Matthew McConaughey. Before joining CBS News Chen Moonves worked as a reporter at WDTN-TV Dayton (1995-1997). In addition, she was employed by ABC NewsOne from 1992-1995. Her first position in broadcasting was as a desk associate for ABC News' late-night broadcast Nightline along with Ted Koppel, who remains one of her journalism heroes. Chen Moonves collaborated with Koppel on the Columbia duPont-winning program Anatomy of a Riot which focussed on events surrounding the Los Angeles riots of '92.
